Frequently Asked Questions

What geographic areas do you serve?

Most of Suffolk and Nassau Counties. Destination Fees may apply to certain areas dependent on the availibilty of our therapists. Please call 631.462.HAND for specific information.

Do I have to live in a house to receive a treatment?

No, we will bring our services to where ever you need:  an apartment, condo, hotel room, catering hall, hospital room. Have wellness, will travel!

How do I book a treatment?

Call 631.462.HAND.There is a possibility that we may have your call our Spa Services Line, if our Commack office can not give you the time needed to book these custom appointments. Or, if you prefer, our coordinator at our Spa Service Desk ,will call you back.  At the time of booking, we will take a valid major credit card to hold your appointment. We will email you a contract which spells out our obligations to one another during the course of our relationship.  A signed contract received in our office within 24 hours, reserves your booking.

What if I have to cancel?

Please visit our policy page.

There are several contraindications for receiving a massage. What are they?

  • Fever
  • Any type of infectious disease
  • Systemic infections
  • Severe cold
  • Fracture, bleeding, burns or other acute injury
  • Liver and kidney diseases
  • Blood clot
  • Toxemia, preeclampsia/eclampsia
  • High blood pressure (unless under control with medication)
  • Heart disease
  • Cancer
  • Open skin lesions or sores
  • Please discuss Lymph Node Removal with us

The guidelines here are pretty straightforward. You don't want the massage to make an underlying medical condition worse, and you don't want to pass anything contagious to the massage therapist. If you have a chronic medical condition, check with your doctor before proceeding on a course of massage therapy. It is also your responsibility inform your Practitioner(s) of any pre-existing conditions that need to be accommodated during your treatment.

What’s the tipping protocol ?
Gratuities will be automatically included for the licensed practioners, so you need not worry about it on the day of your event. Gratuities for the Party Hostess will be left to the discretion of the guests.

Where can you set up services for a party?

Anywhere:  indoors, outdoors, in an office, a home, a hotel banquet room, a condo building’s rooftop pool, a nightclub.  You name it, we can go there.

Is there a minimum or maximum amount of people I have to invite to a party?

Six people can constitute a party with us.  We can also provide services for large scale events with up to several hundred people.

What happens when some of my guests are “fashionably late” arriving to my spa party?

Please make it clear to your guests the start time of the party. We run a very tight ship and we always run on time and they will need to as well.

Can I bring in other entertainment or services with a Spa Party?

Absolutely!  Many of our party bookings involve quite a few other activities and services.  We can be the whole enchilada, or simply one element out of many.

What else do we need to know?

Do I really need to read all the information on your long, boring policy page?
Yes, you do. It's just a matter of communicating and expections of each other : )
